Privately owned by Ms. Mieke de Clerck Hanssens, owner of carpet manufacturing and fibre processing plants world-wide, the Beaulieu name first appeared in Canada on a plant built in Stratford, Ontario in 1981. The plant extruded polypropylene fibre and manufactured area rugs. With the acquisition of Coronet Carpets in 1990 and Peerless Carpet Corporation in 1998, two of Canada’s long-standing prominent wall-to-wall carpet manufacturers, Beaulieu Canada expanded. Today, the company produces a full range of residential and commercial broadloom from yarns such as nylon, polyester, recycled polyester, and polypropylene, and has operations that encompass every aspect of carpet production from yarn processing to tufting to dying to finishing.

Beaulieu Canada uses the latest technology and design innovations to create an extensive range of Made-in-Canada soft floor fashion from traditional cut piles and berbers to contemporary scroll loops, cut-and-loops, velva weaves, friezes and prints for distribution to the Canadian, American and world markets. Committed to reducing its environmental footprint, Beaulieu Canada hears the ECO and has just introduced the new Enviro Select™ line of carpet products that have been crafted from recycled materials or recyclable materials, meet high indoor air quality standards, and have been made with minimum waste, using as few natural resources as possible

Headquartered in Acton Vale, Quebec, with 3 manufacturing plants, 2 distribution centers (Quebec & Alberta), satellite sales offices in Toronto, Calgary and Vancouver, and an experienced, knowledgeable sales force, Beaulieu Canada has grown to an extensive Canadian company. In addition to wall-to-wall carpet manufactured in Canada and select carpet programs from the USA and Belgium, Beaulieu Canada has also become a full flooring provider to retailers across Canada, as the exclusive distributor for the Beaulieu® hardwood, laminate, engineered wood Program and for Berry Floor® laminate and Beauflor® resilient flooring.
