Creating a Plan... Step by Step!

Step 1 - Sketch IT!

We suggest that you create a design blue print to visualize your dream room. Start by drawing a sketch of each room to outline the exact floor area to be carpeted including all doorways, extensions and recesses along each wall.

Step 2 – Measure IT!

A flooring retailer will always send out a professional to take exact measurements once you have made a decision. But, before you visit a flooring retailer, we suggest that you take a rough estimate of your room size. This will help determine how much carpeting you will require and assist you in planning your budget.

You can take the measurements by using a tape measure, ruler or yardstick. Simply measure the length and width of the room in feet. Insert this information into the carpet calculator and it will calculate how many total square feet and/or square yards you will require.
